MEDICAID SPOUSAL IMPOVERISHMENT FIGURES FOR 2008 JUST RELEASED!
The 2008 Medicaid community spouse resource and income allowances have been published by the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Please note that a community spouse with a spouse residing in a nursing home or a participant in a “Nursing Home Without Walls” home care program may retain a monthly income in the amount of $2,610. (called the CSIA) and maximum community spouse’s resource allowance of $104,400 (called a CRSA) . These eligibility guidelines will apply to all applications filed in 2008.
